The Warbird football team had a tremendous season going undefeated in the regular season. They went into the playoffs ranked number one. They had home field advantage for all three of the playoff games. The Warbirds first played the Miller Rustlers in the first round of playoffs. They beat them right after half time with a touchdown to put them up by 50. The Warbirds then took on the Irene-Wakonda Eagles. They beat them setting a new South Dakota 9 man record with 78 points in one-half. They then played the Bon Homme Cavaliers. This is the team that the Warbirds went into double overtime with the second game of the season and won by two. The Warbirds lost to the Cavaliers in the third round of playoffs and were stopped just short of the championship. They Warbirds were disappointed after the game but will get over it. The Warbirds family thanks the seniors for everything they have done for the program and for making a huge impact in all of our underclassmen’s lives. The underclassmen are looking to get back in the weight room and get ready for the next year.
