As everybody is starting the New Year of 2019, many are making resolutions to become better people for this upcoming year. There are many things you can do to stay motivated to keep those resolutions. Need a few tips? First, you will need to plan – do not make your resolution on New Year’s Day… plan ahead and make sure you can motivate yourself to achieve this resolution. Then, you need to be realistic with it; strive for something that you can accomplish and are capable of doing. I would say one of the biggest things is to talk about it. Do not make your resolution a secret. Find a friend who will support you and will be able to motivate you to accomplish it. Do not beat yourself up if you mess up, but do everything you can to stick to it. Do the best you can each day, and take it one day at a time. Your resolution will maybe take 1-2 months or 1-2 years, but stick to it, and you will be successful. If you miss a day, do not worry—just take that day off and restart the next day— do not give up! The last one I have for you is to track your progress and reward yourself. For example, instead of focusing on losing 30 pounds, focus on losing the first five. For every five pounds, reward yourself. Maybe try to keep a journal to help keep you on track. I hope you take this advice and use it to accomplish your personal resolution. Make 2019 the best year ever!
